The first Austin Powers movie ended with a very poignant quote by Dr. Evil: "There's nothing more pathetic than an aging hipster!" If you've ever winced at the sight of 40 something men wearing leather pants, you're sure to fall hard for Tommy Womack. The former Government Cheese member does not go gentle into that goodnight, he just sings about how awkward it is to still play music when your hair is falling out and you have a family to come home too after the gig. And he does this very well, sounding a bit like John Prine with ample help from banjos, acoustic guitars and a rural drawl.
