Toshi Reagon

Toshi Reagon proudly shatters the image of folksingers as frail purveyors of guilt. Though she is the daughter of Sweet Honey in the Rock founder Bernice Johnson, she was first inspired to pick up a guitar after taking in a Kiss concert as a teen. Reagon wraps her distinctive voice around straight-ahead rock, acoustic blues, Black Gospel and reggae-inflected World Fusion tunes with equal dexterity.
