From Journey to Jefferson Starship, bands from the Bay Area love singing about the Bay Area. It's some kind of rock 'n' roll rule, and Train is no exception. Right from the get-go Pat Monahan is crooning about hanging with the pretty ladies up in Marin County. As with every other album from Train, Save Me, San Francisco is a smooth and reliable mix of bar rock and funky frat pop. That said, "Parachute" and the Black Crowes-inspired title track find the band getting a little heavier than usual.
