Anyone who writes and sings honky-tonk inspired country music will tell you that the sad songs are the easiest to pen, while the up-tempo, sun-flared hits are more difficult to come up with. This doesn't seem to apply to Trent Willmon, who wrote seven of these 11 life-affirming, twangy tunes. Even the pensive narrative ballads like "Island" and "Good Horses to Ride" dish out more happy endings than an inner city massage parlor.
