The Tribes of Neurot are an offshoot of Neurosis that explore sound on a more fundamental and spiritual plain. A dark, mysterious din emanates from no discernible direction and immerses you in an earthen comfort of damp soil. All resonances are vaguely familiar: perhaps a crowd of people talking quietly, perhaps an orchestra tuning, perhaps the sound of rainfall, or perhaps your own heartbeat. Sounds in this realm struggle between levels of micro and macro. Tribal percussion traces the trajectory of an expanding consciousness and intense drones reflect an inward gaze that looks deeply into the abyss within. The music is primal without being simple -- it evokes basic human elements. Sounds as mythological archetypes.
