There's a really interesting dialogue concerning male-female relationships on Amazin'. Trina often asserts her financial independence from men, and brags on "By Myself" that "I can do you how I want to because I pay your car note." On "My Bitches," she gives dap to strippers who hustle for the cash, and she treats male suitors like groupies on "On Da Hush" and "Dang a Lang." For the latter, she graciously passes the baton to heir apparent Nicki Minaj. Splitting her tracks between Dirty South bangers ("Currency" with Lil Wayne and Rick Ross) and smooth R&B, Trina is enough of a seasoned veteran to pull off an Amazin' album.
