Trinidad James is a product of Atlanta's ultra-trendy club scene, where popping a "super-molly" and cranking up Future bangers feels transgressive. It's that sense of excitement that animates the cheekily titled Don't Be S.A.F.E., not its played-out gimmicks like blending rave samples with trap ("Female$ Welcomed"). "All Gold Everything" is such a sure-shot that it doesn't need a big-budget co-sign from T.I., Jeezy and 2 Chainz. And Trinidad sounds entirely at ease in the hood-slacker world of "Givin' No F**k$," eschewing complex rhymes for a memorable drawl and winning charisma.
