Biography
The heavily tattooed Compton swag rapper Tyga is best known for "Coconut Juice," a club hit with the catchy chorus, "Put the lime in the coconut and twist it all up." As the cousin of Travie McCoy, and with support from other West Coast swag stars like the Pack and Jay Rock, Tyga seemed destined for big things … until his 2008 debut, No Introduction, failed to capitalize on "Coconut Juice." Over a year later, Tyga re-emerged as part of Lil Wayne's Young Money camp. He made several appearances on the group's 2009 compilation We Are Young Money, and the next year dropped a verse on Chris Brown's Grammy-nominated comeback hit "Deuces." With new momentum behind his career, Tyga scheduled a second album, Careless World, for 2011.
