Released:
Label: Solid State Records
This album won't disappoint fans looking for more of Underoath's energetic metalcore sound. Since 2008's Lost In the Sound of Separation, the Tampa-based sextet underwent a lineup change, welcoming drummer Daniel Davison (formerly of Norma Jean) to replace longtime drummer/singer Aaron Gillespie. Despite the shakeup, Spencer Chamberlain embraces the role of lone singer. The album opener, "In Division," wastes no time getting loud, but be sure not to miss the moody, melodic "Paper Lung" and the electronic "Driftwood," an homage to Radiohead.
