A nice loop of Herbie Hancock's "Cantaloupe Island" took these artists up the charts with their hard-grooving blend of jazz and hip-hop. On more recent albums, Us3 have moved from sampling to including more live instruments on their recordings -- with laid-back rhymes still holding center stage.
