For a movie that features real-life Navy Seals, the music has to be just as heroic as the actors. And while Act of Valor strives for this, it only occasionally hits the mark. Lori McKenna's "Two Soldiers Coming Home" can reduce you to tears by song's end; Lady Antebellum's "I Was Here," with its lush instrumentation and positive lyrics, is a sweeping, feel-good anthem. There's a weirder '80s-power-ballad feel to many other songs here (Keith Urban sounds like Richard Marx; Sugarland, like Heart), but Trace Adkins and Wynonna Judd keep it real.
