You may not immediately associate the eerily tripadelic Wonderland or the wonderfully weird Tim Burton with pasty modern-rock kids, but as Alice has taught us, anything is possible. This set features songs inspired by Burton's film and Lewis Carroll's original story. Plain White T's grasp the woozy, psychedelic slant the best, while other highlights come in the form of covers: The Cure's Robert Smith takes on the '51 animated version's "Very Good Advice"; Franz Ferdinand give Carroll's "The Lobster Quadrille" a sinister suaveness; and Grace Potter does Grace Slick justice on "White Rabbit."
