The Factory label is remembered for its philosophy, impeccable graphic design and, particularly, Joy Division; 2011's Fac. Dance served as a reminder of the Manchester label's centrality to club culture as well. The second installment collects funk-punk and coldwave gems from ESG, Quando Quango, A Certain Ratio and Section 25, along with lesser known artists like Shark Vegas and Thick Pigeon. Whether showcasing skeletal dub or DIY disco, the vibe throughout offers a shadowy reminder of the days when "dance music" trafficked in dread and doubt.
