Flags of Our Fathers is Clint Eastwood's adaptation of the James Bradley and Ron Powers book about a man who finds out that his dad was one of the soldiers who raised the American flag at the Battle of Iwo Jima. Most of the soundtrack was scored by Eastwood (whose songs sound like stark Philip Glass compositions). The rest of the collection begs to be renamed Songs of Our Grandfathers, as it comprises Dinah Shore, Mozart, Joseph Hayden, Irving Berlin, Artie Shaw and his Gramercy Five, Sammy Cahn, John Philip Sousa and Eastwood's son Kyle (who plays 1940s retro-styled jazz).
