JDH and Dave P are the heads behind Fixed, a raucous New York party running the gamut from electro to techno to disco. The tracklisting of their first mix CD is just as open-minded, ranging from Joakim's wonky pop through Serge Santiago's Italo arpeggios and on to the lush new wave of Gui Boratto's "Like You." The hits -- the Knife's "Silent Shout," Soulwax's Gossip remix -- are here, too, but they're folded expertly into the mix, rather than brandished like garish baubles. Their tastes might be called "eclectic," but DJH and Dave P's mixing skills show them to be techno kids at heart.
