It would have been easy to mess up a tribute to the late, oh-so-great John Fahey. The concept itself is a bit ambitious when you consider just how god-like the man was at picking a guitar. But it totally works here: artists like Devendra Banhart, Lee Ranaldo and Calexico offer their own moody and moving takes on his work rather than spitting out musical Xeroxes.
