The cream of the 2006 loud music crop are represented on this Kemado Records compilation. The Sword show where Sabbath Vol. 4 meets Maiden, while Wolfmother offers electric boogie a la T. Rex and Parchman Farm. There is a doom metal/stoner theme running throughout but bands like Black Mountain, Comets on Fire and Dungen bring violent psychedelia to the proceedings. Everybody on here warrants deeper investigation. Overall, Invaders is pretty awesome.
