A dozen modern rock acts here attempt the near-impossible: do some of the hippest rock stars in history justice. We're talking the Muppets, of course. Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, Rowlf and the rest of the loveable gang get the cover treatment on The Green Album, and each guest artist stays true to their respective sound: The goofy OK Go fittingly kick things off with "The Muppet Show Theme," My Morning Jacket swirl in bits of psychedelia on "Our World," Sondre Lerche gives "Mr. Bassman" a jazzy spunk, and Andrew Bird fiddles and whistles until you totally believe he's green. Kermie would be proud.
