Past Ocean's soundtracks succeeded by mixing fantastic, often forgotten tunes with composer David Holmes' groovy retro originals. Here, Holmes is almost the entire show and the results are almost as good. That said, Holmes has a couple of aces up his sleeve: Someone named Frank Sinatra knocks "This Town" (a shoulda-been-big 1960s single) out of the park, while the Motherhood's "Soul Town" illustrates that, at one time, even furry, turned-on freaks got down at the discotheque.
