Todd Terje isn't as well known as his studio partners Lindstrom and Prins Thomas, but that's not for a lack of output. Remaster of the Universe collects 25 of the Norwegian producer's edits and remixes, seamlessly mixed into two disc-long sessions. Skeletal percussive grooves grow out of funk breaks and drum machines, with nimble electric bass, piano and acoustic guitars dubbed into a psychedelic haze. It's all tight enough for house fans, but musical enough for listeners who need melody on the dancefloor. A stellar introduction to one of leftfield dance music's steadiest hands.
