Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (Original Score Composed by Nigel Godrich)
by Various Artists
Nigel Godrich, most famous for producing Radiohead, has crafted vivid and complex mood pieces and semi-songs for this Michael Cera vehicle. Godrich lets the film's comedic elements speak for themselves, while seesawing between retro synth-pop that sounds like it's spouting out from original-issue arcade games and lushly atmospheric chillscapes that will warm the hearts of Brian Eno and Radiohead fans. The set is made even stronger by plenty of movie dialogue and guest appearances by Beck, Dan The Automator and somebody/something called Osymyso.
