The mini-series Taken is an epic tale full of extraterrestrials, UFOs, government cover-ups and conspiracy theories. It also has a killer soundtrack. There's everything from nuclear-age novelties, like Sheb Wooley's "Purple People Eater," to raw proto-punk courtesy of the Stooges and Love. It even contains the Grateful Dead's "Ripple," the hippie-era ballad that actually confirmed the existence of alien technology: "Let it be known there is a fountain/ That was not made by the hands of men."
