Vinnie Colaiuta

Colaiuta originally made his name with Frank Zappa in the late 1970s and has since come to be worshiped by the Modern Drummer readership. He's spent more recent years playing with Sting and doing numerous studio sessions, as well as recording an album of sleek, muscular contemporary Fusion that often brings to mind a jazzier version of Rush.
