Originally released to no fanfare in 1968, these recordings come courtesy of unheard Canadian hard rockers Warpig, a band the good folks at Relapse were kind enough to unearth for those of us who've tracked down all the Leafhound and Sir Lord Baltimore records already. Warpig, like those aforementioned bands, were among the very first crop of kids to mess with what would later become known as heavy metal. Organ-heavy and dark in a Bloodrock way, Warpig's best moments may have been their weirdest. For proof, check "Advance in A Minor." Meanwhile, "Tough Nuts" is an undeniable hard rock classic.
