Shorter seems reinvigorated by the surge of public acceptance following his return to experimental jazz on 2002's Footprints Live. This follow-up CD is even better, and while it's no surprise that the album matches lyrical beauty with masterful technique, it was very nice to see Alegria outsell Shorter's jazz-pop LPs. Gets better the more you spin it.
