This collection sticks mostly with Pierce's excellent material for the Decca label in the 1950s. It's all pure honky-tonk, with steel guitar, fiddle and heartbreak pouring out of every track. "Wondering" is probably his best vocal performance, while "There Stands The Glass" is easily one of the best drinking laments you'll hear.
