Released: Oct 2001
Lost Change, the first solo album from a member of the Black Eyed Peas, was recorded well before the group became a household name -- it doesn't feature Fergie, JT or any songs about getting retarded/started. And though the focus is more on NYC-style boho rap, there are glimmers of the same musical inclusiveness, accessibility and goofiness that would later translate into pop stardom for the producer. The entire album is pretty tight, but standouts include "I Am" and the three variations of "Lost Change."
