About Wu Man

She trained at Beijing's prestigious Central Conservatory and was the first graduate to earn her degree for playing the pipa, a dulcimer-like instrument. Since moving to the United States from China in 1990, Man has made numerous recordings of both classical and contemporary repertoire.
