Xtreme, two boys from the Bronx, infuse the bachata sounds of the Dominican Republic with a little bit of R&B smooth. Danny D and Steve Styles use Spanglish to make Chapter Dos an authentic Uptown thing (if sometimes to comic effect; check out "Through That Window"). "Lloro Lloro" is a tear-soaked tale of unrequited love that surprises with a blitzkrieg electric guitar solo. "Por Que Sera" takes on a heart's tortured inner monologue -- and some revved-up flamenco. For variety, check out the salsa number "Esta Emergencia," where you'll hear the duo begging for "an overdose of your love."
