Pop-punk may be meant for the kids but Yellowcard, around since 1997, prove that grownups have something to say, too. Basically, they no longer struggle with having the hots for a snobby girl; now, they are getting sober, and the new identity is a tough one. The important thing is that the guitars and harmonized choruses are as sharp as ever, and Yellowcard is as adept as they come when it's time to drop in the Green Day-sanctioned slow-to-fast move (see pretty much every bridge).
