Yes extended their '70s period of great success brought on by Fragile with Close to the Edge in 1972, itself a Top 10-selling record. While the album, with just three tracks (on the original issue), does not have any singles to speak of, it does feature one of the group's all-time best song suites: the 10-minute sunny morning jaunt that starts with "And You and I" and slides into "Cord of Life." Sandwiched halfway into the opening title cut, "I Get Up, I Get Down" is another of Yes' career highlights. One of rock music's most distinctive bands is at its creative peak here.
