After the departure of Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman, the remaining members of Yes somehow enlisted Geoff Downes and Trevor Horn from The Buggles (!) to take their places. The result is an album that, while offering some distorted guitars, has a strong new wave feel -- which is a good or bad thing depending on your point of view. For his part, Horn does a fairly good job approximating Anderson's high-pitched vocals. Folks interested only in pure Yes-style songs, though, should go straight to "Tempus Fugit" and "Does It Really Happen?"
