A double album made up of four interminable tracks, Tales may be of interest to only the most fanatical of Yes devotees. It is Yes at the peak of their powers, so if and when you get bored, you can always just focus on Chris Squire's bass playing. The whole thing is based on the ideas of Kriya yoga, and the four tracks stand for, in order: truth, knowledge, culture and freedom. You have to figure this made sense to a lot of white people with long, smelly hair and paintings of Ganesh and Shiva in their house when the album came out in 1973.
