Look What You Made Me (Edited)
by Yung Berg
Released: Aug 2008
Yung Berg's calling card is sweaty dance floor seduction, as heard on "Sexy Lady" and "Sexy Can I." Those songs are careful not to confuse lust with vanity, and the object is always on the prey. Problem is the Chi-Town rapper is overshadowed by the guest singers and the songs' immaculate hooks; his raps are generic, and Berg is little more than pop-hop window dressing. But the emcee appreciates his role, and spends much of the album recreating this formula. "One Night" and "Manager" feature Trey Songz and Lloyd, respectively, and are punchy, if harmless, pop.
