Z-Ro has always been one of the most talented storytellers from the South, and he doesn't disappoint here. "Greed" follows the downfall of Frank, a Houston soldier who "got tired of the feeling" of being "broke all his life" and took up the gun before leaving in a hail of bullets. As Z-Ro concludes, "If you sow it / I'll promise you'll reap it." Normally rap is a consequence-free environment, but Z-Ro's realism, along with his gruff, monotone voice, distinguishes him.
