Arto Lindsay

Lindsay, an American, was actually raised in Brazil, and on this LP he pays homage to the land of his youth with some stunning collaborators (Brian Eno, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Marc Ribot, Nana Vasconcelos). Singing in Portuguese and English, Lindsay was once dissonant, but here he's leisurely and spacey, creating lush sounds with bare instrumentation (he's a great guitarist).
