If Pete Doherty's career has been broadly reminiscent of watching Coleridge take a nasty tumble down the pub stairs, then this B-sides compilation neatly encapsulates it. Tracks like "The Man Who Came to Stay" and "Black Boy Lane" are the amusing bits, and the likes of "Why Did You Break My Heart" signal when you should look away. This is the band's last release on Rough Trade after being dropped mid-2006, but what do they care? Parlophone signed them soon afterwards for two million dollars.
