Maybe it's because Bebel used the studio geeks to work around the edges of her surprise hit album Tanto Tempo that this remix collection works so much better than most such endeavors. The bossa nova vibe can be submerged under added layers, but usually Gilberto just floats on top of wisps and dollops of new sounds.
