Bedouin Soundclash

About

This Canadian trio stuff a reggae enchilada with homegrown melodies that could stand up to the greats. Formed in 2002, the group released Root Fire after just nine months together, mingling influences including reggae, punk, dancehall and jungle and gaining lots of fans -- and a distribution deal with Stomp Records -- in the process. In 2005 they recorded their second album, Sounding A Mosaic, with expert help from Daryl Jenifer of the Bad Brains. The album features stellar guests including Vernon Buckley of the Maytones and a remix by Gotan Project's Paul Lazare.
