Bela Bartok

Bartok died before this concerto was completed, and close friend Tibor Serly was given the task of constructing the final version heard here from an oft-times difficult-to-decipher orchestral sketch. The lively rhythms and classic Bartok harmonies still strongly bear the stamp of his identity.
