Benny Sings

Fans of Jamie Lidell would drool all over Benny Sings' fusion of blue-eyed soul, pure pop and percolating electronica. There are notable differences, however. Where Lidell's compositions are rooted in IDM and ambient house, Benny's rhythms are primarily informed by hip-hop and neo-soul. As Time Out once wrote, Benny "croons like Leo Sayer, looks like Avid Merrion, sounds like a hybrid of Prince and Gilbert O'Sullivan."
