As disco grew to dominate the music scene, Bill Withers' popularity waned. On this 1976 release, Withers brings in more slick session players, yet manages to retain his warm, no-nonsense integrity and soul/folk roots. Highlights include "I'll Be With You," the searching "My Imagination" and "If I Didn't Mean You Well," which was one of his hit-worthy tunes that somehow failed to click as a single.
