Billie Myers' exquisite beauty landed her a record deal when a music producer saw her dancing in a London club. Luckily, Myers (who never attempted to have any sort of music career) turned out to have a fine singing voice and writing ability. She hit the international charts hard with "Kiss the Rain," an honorable pop tune that appealed to old and young listeners alike in 1997. With each release, she hones her polished yet complex sound -- think of a more soulful, less depressed Sade or a less pretentious Sting. Myers has won touring spots with both Sarah McLachlan and Bob Dylan. That should give you some idea of her widespread demographic appeal.
