Rhapsody

By 1964, Mr. B. was no longer the superstar he was in the late '40s and early '50s, but he was still a respected crossover crooner. Eckstine's lush, emotive voice is at its most stylized on this tour of then-current film themes but he's actually at his best when he's at his most laidback and jazzy (as on "The Good Life," "Green Dolphin Street" and "Days of Wine & Roses").
