B.J. Thomas

About

Most remembered for singing the Academy Award winning Bacharach/David movie theme "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head," B.J. Thomas was a country pop crooner with a foundation in rock 'n' roll. Despite being so strongly associated with "Raindrops," Thomas had numerous hits in the late 1960s and early '70s, including the original "Hooked On a Feeling," ”Rock and Roll Lullaby" and the horribly titled "(Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song." By the mid-1970s Thomas had transitioned into a Nashville hitmaker of considerable, if under publicized success. While his style of virile, non-cowboy hat wearing country went the way of the buffalo, B.J. Thomas remains in the spotlight as a vital nostalgia act.
