by Judy Cantor-Navas | November 23, 2013
More than ever, the 2013 Latin Grammys honored the international character of Latin music, awarding artists who hail from all over Latin American and Spain, as well as Spanish-speaking residents of the U.S. The awards' 14th edition honored the strength of songwriting, be it to pop, rock, tropical or urban rhythms. Comeback albums by Colombia's Carlos Vives and Puerto Rican rocker Draco Rosa both won top awards; Marc Anthony's return to salsa, "Vivir Mi Vida," took Recording of the Year. Guatemalan singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno was awarded Best New Artist.
