'90s Summer Christian Festival Mix
by Wendy Lee Nentwig | May 25, 2013
In 1995, Jars of Clay had a huge crossover hit with their self-titled debut, which lit the spark that ignited Christian music's heyday in the late '90s. Summer festivals thrived as fans flocked to hear acts like Newsboys, Nichole Nordeman, Jennifer Knapp, Rebecca St. James, Burlap to Cashmere, Michael W. Smith, Ginny Owens and The Choir. Camping out with your youth group, surviving on kettle corn and hot dogs and enduring long-winded speakers to get to the music were all part of the experience. We should have known it was too good to last, but fortunately the songs are still here for us to enjoy. Tune in to our '90s Christian Festival Mix and let it take you back in time.
