Released in 1980, Horizon features two of Eddie Rabbitt's 20 No. 1 hits, "Drivin' My Life Away" and "I Love a Rainy Night" -- the songs he is most often associated with. The album went platinum when it came out and is additionally highlighted by the J.J. Cale-like rockabilly of "Short Road to Love" and the Paul Simon-worthy "747." A good example of the slicked-up production values of '80s country, Horizon marks Rabbitt's move away from the more traditional country music he'd first made his name with when Eddie Rabbitt came out in 1975.
