Artist Spotlight: Jo Dee Messina

by Nick Murray  |  March 23, 2014

Jo Dee Messina, a Massachusetts girl who was discovered by -- and later dueted with -- Tim McGraw, has slowly faded from view since scoring her last big hit, 2005's "My Give a Damn's Busted." And it's a shame, because her latest LP, titled simply Me, deserves to be heard by a wider audience. So, in conjunction with the record's release, we compiled a playlist of Messina's 10 best tunes, from '96 to the present. Our mix includes everything from "Heads Carolina, Tails California," a track that radio still plays when the weather is bad enough, to "Peace Sign," the new single that radio inexplicably isn't playing at all.
