Back to School: Friday Night Lights
by Linda Ryan | September 2, 2014
There’s nothing like the excitement of a home-town football game: the anticipation, the drama, the opportunity to decimate your opponent in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd—it’s an adrenaline rush like no other. Even the cheer squad has their time under the lights. Hey, they don’t call ‘em pep rallies for nothing!
And while city-folk have to rely (mostly) on what they see on the screen, we get the idea: college towns love their Friday night football games. To cheer this great tradition on—albeit from the sidelines—we created the playlist Friday Night Lights, which honors the game of football, both literally (as in Kenny Chesney’s, “Boys of Fall,”) and figuratively (Smashmouth’s “All Star,” for instance). Hit play and celebrate the game.
